Use Storytelling
To make an impactful presentation, turn your selected work into a story. Demonstrate your thinking and professional experience with a mix of problem solving and storytelling. See the design thread being : problem, context, process, outcomes and lessons learnt. Your mentor will connect the missing dots if any pieces are missing.
Build your online portfolio
Set up your portfolio website hosting and domain name. Learn about CMS and native tools in order to select the one that fits your objectives. With your mentor you will structure content and use case studies into an intuitive navigation. Define your personal branding and get inspired through visiting portfolio websites examples.
Learn to sell yourself
Learn how to sell yourself and your skills with an elevator pitch. Get feedback on your resume, cover letter, as well as your social presence (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, ...). You will also assemble a PDF Portfolio.
Polish and present your creative portfolio
You will receive a feedback on your work presentation and portfolio website from your Gurvi mentor to make final changes. Share your design portfolio on strategic platforms and relevant social media, and get a new job !
